Terms of Service

1. What Dustav.com is

Dustav.com is an AI agent that keeps your calendar, your notes, and the durable facts your household runs on — all stored as readable pages you can inspect at any time. Your agent runs on a large language model accessed through an API key you provide (see “Your API key” below). Dustav.com is a software service; your agent is generated by an AI model, not a real person, and not a substitute for professional advice.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By using Dustav.com you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you give us is accurate. If you set up Dustav.com for or on behalf of a child, you do so as the responsible adult and you are accountable for that use. We do not knowingly allow accounts for children under 13.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your login secure. Dustav.com signs you in by emailed code, so keep access to your email address safe. Tell us promptly at hello@dustav.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Your API key (BYOK)

Dustav.com uses a “bring your own key” model. You connect your own API key from your AI provider (Anthropic), and your conversations are processed by that provider under your own account and subject to that provider’s terms and usage policies. You are responsible for your provider account, any usage charges it incurs, and complying with your provider’s rules. We encrypt your key at rest and use it only to operate your agent. We are not your AI provider and are not responsible for the provider’s availability, output, or billing.

5. Your content

“Your content” means what you put into Dustav.com and what your agent creates with you — messages, calendar entries, notes, and the facts it keeps. You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service to you. You’re responsible for your content and for having the right to share it with us.

6. Acceptable use

Please use Dustav.com decently. You agree not to:

• use the service for anything illegal, or to harm, harass, threaten, or exploit anyone — especially minors;
• try to make your agent produce content that sexually exploits minors, facilitates serious violence, or provides instructions for weapons or other dangerous harm;
• attempt to break, probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass its security or rate limits;
• use the service to generate spam, malware, or content that infringes others’ rights;
• impersonate someone else or misrepresent your affiliation.

Dustav.com has safety boundaries built in that we don’t remove on request. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

7. Dustav.com Plus (subscription)

Getting started is free, up to a limit on the number of messages. Dustav.com Plus is an optional paid subscription that removes that message limit so you can keep using it, across your whole household. You subscribe from your account settings, and the price and billing interval (monthly or yearly) are shown at checkout before you confirm.

• Payment. Subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment processor. We don’t see or store your full card details.
• Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize these recurring charges.
• Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your account settings (via the billing portal). Cancellation stops future renewals; your Plus access continues through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
• Price changes. We may change the subscription price; if we do, we’ll give notice and the new price applies to your next renewal, never the current one.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partial periods. That said, we aim to be fair — if something went wrong, email hello@dustav.com. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Separately, because the AI itself runs on your own API key, the cost of model usage is always between you and your AI provider — Dustav.com Plus does not cover it.

8. Not professional advice

Your agent may talk about health, legal, financial, or emotional topics, but it is not a licensed professional and its output can be wrong. Don’t rely on it for decisions that need a qualified expert. If you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away.

9. Availability and changes

Dustav.com is offered “as is” and “as available.” We’re a small team and the service may change, break, or go down. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these Terms; if we make material changes we’ll update the effective date and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use Dustav.com after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Termination

You can delete your agent or your whole account at any time from your settings — deletion is real and removes the associated data. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or others.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Dustav.com and Dustav.com disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
